Menno Schipper

This is me.

The picture is a little outdated, I recently bought a new vest, but I’m more or less the same guy. I was born and raised in Hoorn. After graduating from Fontys Hogeschool for Communication in Eindhoven, I went to Amsterdam. My career led me to Etcetera, JWT, Saatchi&Saatchi, DDB&Tribal, Havas Boondoggle and Havas Lemz. At the last three agencies, I’ve worked as (Executive) Creative Director.

 

I like to think about the role a brand plays in the lives of people and in society, and how communication can contribute to that role. When I start working I never know how a campaign will evolve, I’m not even sure whether it has to be a campaign. Whatever the outcome: it has to reflect the heart and soul of the brand. I like to create stuff that is relevant and effective, feels uncomplicated and sticks to you.

 

Next to my job, I write a blog (in Dutch) about life on a Saturday morning next to a football pitch. Early 2019 it was published as a serie of columns in daily newspaper Het Parool.
